Slice Diagnoser

Five questions about what the ball actually does, and what that says about how the club is arriving.

1 / 5
Which way round do you swing?

This reads a described ball flight back as a club delivery, using the standard relationship between face, path and curve. It is not a measurement — a launch monitor or a slow-motion clip is what settles it. Nothing here is instruction about how to move your body.

How to use this

  1. Answer for your typical miss, not your best or worst swing — the pattern is what matters.
  2. Judge the start direction over the first fifty yards, before the curve takes over.
  3. Take the diagnosis to the matching section of the slice guide, or test it on the simulator.
