When does SwingOK launch?

Private beta opens to the waitlist this autumn, in order of sign-up. App Store launch follows once the model clears our accuracy bar across handicaps. Joining the waitlist is the only way in before then.

Do I need a launch monitor or sensors?

No. Just an iPhone 12 or newer. SwingOK runs entirely on the phone's camera and neural engine — nothing to strap on, nothing to charge.

How accurate is it, really?

Honestly: we are not going to give you a number before launch, because we have not published one we can defend. What we can tell you is how it works — 240 fps capture, 33 body landmarks placed on every frame, and measurements taken at the P1–P10 checkpoints. Accuracy depends heavily on your setup, which is why the app tells you when a clip is too shaky, too dark or too badly framed to trust instead of guessing.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

Analysis happens on-device. Clips only leave your phone if you choose to share one with a coach or friend. The privacy page spells out exactly what does and does not leave your device.

Will there be an Android version?

Not at launch — we're going deep on iPhone first. Join the list and tell us your device; it shapes what we build next.

What will SwingOK cost?

We haven't announced pricing yet, and we would rather say that than invent a number. What we have committed to is that everyone on the waitlist gets founding-member pricing locked in for as long as they keep the account. When pricing is set, the waitlist hears first.

Which iPhones does it work on?

iPhone 12 and newer. That's the line where the camera reliably records 240 fps slow motion and the neural engine can run pose estimation over a full swing without draining your battery on the range. Older phones can shoot video, but not the frame rate the analysis depends on.

Which clubs can I film?

Any of them. The mechanics SwingOK measures — turn, sequence, path, face, shaft lean — apply from wedge to driver. The ranges it compares you against do differ by club, since a driver swing is flatter and wider than a wedge swing, so tell the app what you're holding before you swing.

Can I use it indoors, into a net or a simulator?

Yes, and net work is a good use of it — you get the body mechanics whether or not you can see the ball flight. Two caveats: give the phone enough light that the shutter stays fast, and remember that impact detection listens for the strike, so a very loud bay or a music system will make the audio anchor less reliable.

What do you do with my email address?

We use it to send you two emails: one when the beta opens and one when the app is on the App Store. We don’t sell it, we don’t run ad trackers, and you can have it deleted by writing to [email protected]. The privacy page lists every field the waitlist form stores and why.

Does this replace a coach?

No, and we won’t pretend otherwise. SwingOK measures what your body and club did and compares it against typical ranges. A coach works out what to do about it for you specifically — your build, your history, your goals. Our editorial policy is explicit that everything we publish is general instruction in mechanics and measurement, not personalised coaching.
